1. Mineral water springs and hidden villages off-road tour
This region is rich in deep springs, wild flowers and herbs. On this tour we’ll show you these, as well as villages hidden in green valleys, visited by the King of England himself. In Zalánpatak we visit his guest house and a small museum that takes us back to the Szekler villages of the old days. We will also experience the special properties of a mofetta and have a look at a local herbalist workshop.
What does this experience offer?
– The off-road tour lasts 3-4 hours, depending on the weather, the state of the forest and field roads and you, because if you want to stop several times for a photo or an interesting flower, bird or mushroom, we are flexible.
– In any case, we’ll show you a mineral water spring where the locals get their daily drink. However, if you’re curious about the variety of these springs, we’ll be happy to show you and taste more on our trip.
– We will try to introduce you to the herbs and wildflowers of the season.
– Even if an off-road car is a bit noisy and rattling, you’ll be introduced to a true classic, the Lada Niva.
– Zalánpatak is set in a wooded valley, which is charming in itself, but the English monarch’s guest house makes it even more special.
– On top of that, you’ll also enjoy some fabulous views.
– One of these views will be made even more atmospheric with a tasting of local brandy and artisan liqueurs.

2. Road of volcanoes off-road tour
In Szeklerland we found several springs of mineral water, which are due to post-volcanic activities. On this off-road tour, we will also look for traces of the former volcanoes, such as mineral water pools in the depths of the forest, springs with a variety of flavours and mofetta. We will drive around the southernmost volcanic cone of the Harghita Mountains, from where we will also have a fabulous view of the volcanic cone that hides the Saint Anna Lake. But we also visit a small village museum and the house of the English king in Zalánpatak.
